Frequently Asked Questions

  • Dr. Dupuis works Monday to Friday, with the exception of vacation periods — these will be posted on the website and noted on our voicemail in advance.

The majority of appointments are conducted virtually to expedite care. In-person visits are available one to two days per week at North Toronto Surgical, 1275 Finch Avenue West, Suite 605, Toronto.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Dupuis works as a surgical assistant at Hennick Humber Hospital and is actively involved in women's health advocacy. Her time is fully committed to her patients and her work — we appreciate your patience and understanding when it comes to scheduling and response times.

For all enquiries, please contact our office at 416-742-2961 ext. 3. Our team is your first point of contact and is well equipped to help with most questions, triage concerns, and get messages to Dr. Dupuis when needed.

If your concern is time-sensitive, please contact your family physician. In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

  • This depends on the complexity of your care. Some patients are seen for a focused consultation and then transitioned back to their family doctor with a clear management plan. Others with more complex or ongoing hormonal health needs may be followed longer term. Dr. Dupuis will discuss the expected plan with you at your appointment.

  • Unfortunately, results are not always faxed to our office automatically, and we cannot guarantee receipt of every investigation performed by external labs and imaging centres. While we do have a lab tracking system in place, gaps can occur and we ask that you help us close them.

If you have had bloodwork, imaging, or another investigation completed and have not heard from us within 7 business days, please call our office directly at 416-742-2961 ext. 3. Do not assume that no news is good news — if you're unsure whether your results have been received, please follow up.

  • Prescription renewals can be requested having your pharmacy fax our office at 416-742-0076. Please allow 5 business days for processing. For ongoing prescriptions, we highly recommend requesting your renewal before you run out to avoid a gap in your therapy.

  • Please call our office at 416-742-2961 ext. 3 as soon as possible. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer your appointment to another patient on our wait list.

  • If you are experiencing side effects, please call our office to discuss. For severe or concerning symptoms, contact your family physician or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not stop your medication without speaking to a provider first.
